Digital storytelling is a means of narrative expression linked to traditions of narratives passed on from generation to generation. It serves as a way for us to tell our story by authentically expressing our thoughts, feelings, actions, and other details about ourselves, so that we can be empowered and share this enlightenment with others.
The goal of this project was to use digital storytelling to build schema of English Language Learners. This allowed the students to jumpstart reading comprehension. As a result, the students were able to develop literacy skills, increase retention, build technology skills, think critically, and increase their motivation to read.
